    After 1989, Jade carvings' getting boom and Mandalay is unique for this. Jade carvings are getting penetrate to Japan and Korea markets now, before it had depended only on China Market.
    Nowadays Buddha Images as well as the images of Chinese and Hindu God and Goddess are being curved out of Jade, having good demand even receive the orders from Foreign Traders.
    Then it should say that the Jade Carvings save the lost of the Jade Traders.

    SAND PAINTING IN BAGAN (June 22, 2007)



    In Bagan, Gubyaukgyi Temple near the village of Wetkyi-inn is famous for its interior murals – dating back to the 13th Century that describes stories of the previous lives of the Buddha. The artists of Bagan discovered the sand painting technique and above murals are selling as sand painting.
    The technique starts by sketching designs that copy the temple's murals on tetron cloth. After the drawings are made, acrylic glue is put onto the cloth. Then sand is sprinkled through a sieve onto the cloth but within the lines of the sketches. After the glue is dried and sand is set in place, the final step is to paint over the sand using vivid colors that match the Bagan artistic.
    Sand paintings required great skill in using a stylus to make the sketches and range in size from two square feet up to the size of a normal floor mat. The biggest paintings take about three days to complete. These were popular only in Bagan because they replicated murals in local temples and matched the regions artistic. Sand paintings are sold to local tourists for about K 5000 and US$ 10 to US$ 15 for foreigners.

    CANE BALL PLAYING FESTIVAL IN MANDALAY (June 19, 2007)




    In Mandalay will be a Myanma Traditional Cane Ball show participate with 1000 teams, commence from 21st June, 2007. Approximately it will be lasting for forty days with (25) teams play in a day. The venue is in the premises of Mahamuni Buddha Image from 9 AM to 11 PM daily.
    The cane ball players from America, Canada, Japan and Thailand also participate in this event. One can watch the solo show of the famous players.

    Since the time of our Lord Buddha, Lotus has been the logo of Purity. Many years later, People used the lotus as the symbol of Lord Buddha for being paid homage. So Lotus has long history such as showing the right Path to the people about the sutra of the Buddha. Now, many religious places in Myanmar commonly used the lotus flowers as the decoration for showing pureness and gloriousness.     ENJOY THE ELEPHANT RIDE WHILE  PYIN OO LWIN EXCURSION (June 4, 2007)




    Commencing from 10th of May 2007, the management of Kandawgyi National Garden arrange elephant ride for the visitors. This program begins with two elephants and will extend in the future.

    FIRST DAY OF MYANMAR STATE SCHOOLS (June 1, 2007)
    State schools in Myanmar usually open in 1st of June. On this beginning day all the kids proudly wear the new uniform neat and tidy. Every kid seems show off their new utensils like knapsack, shoes and tiffin box. In Myanmar parents have accustomed to accompany their kids to the schools you can observe the behavior of the Myanmar mothers. The kids look quite nervous to find their friends at that very first day. Shopkeepers have good business by selling snacks, B.B.Q and burger.

    This is the usual scene of the Myanmar State Schools in 1st of June every year.
