Mrauk Oo is a magnificent old city on the west coast , once capital of the Rakhine Kingdom. It is yet another site in Myanmar with old temples and pagodas, but in styles different from those of Bagan because of Indian influence in that area.

Visitors to Mrauk Oo will have a very rare opportunity to witness elderly Chin women with their face tattooed and wearing peculiar clothing ; ears are bored with silver earrings; living in remote villages. This region is so primitive that customs and traditions are quite unlike those of Rakhine tradition and styles.

Day 01 Yangon - Sittwe - Mrauk-U (B)

Morning transfer to airport for flight to Sittwe, the capital city of Rakhine State. Transfer from Sittwe airport to jetty. Special express boat with 20 seats take only 2 ½ hours to Mrauk Oo.

Overnight at hotel in Mrauk Oo.

Day 02 Mrauk-U Full Day Sightseeing (B)

Sightseeing in Mrauk Oo includes famous Sittaung Temple(a breath taking store house of sculptures); Htukkan Thein Temple( noted especially for the seated figures of beautiful ladies, with different hair styles, offering lotus buds); Andaw thein Temple( where a tooth relic of Lord Buddha was enshrined); Ratanabon Stupa ( an octagonal stone stupa on a hillock) and Archaeological Museum.

Day 03 Mrauk-U - Sittwe (B)

Morning about 5 miles drive on rugged road to Sin Oo village and proceed along the river on 2 hrs. boat ride to witness the tattooed ladies , typical village life and scenic beauty of the region.
In the evening, return to Sittwe by boat.

Overnight at hotel in Sittwe.

Day 04 Sittwe - Yangon (B)

Breakfast at hotel ,visit Sittwe Market and Weaving School. Afternoon transfer to airport for flight to Yangon. Upon arrival at Yangon airport, transfer to your hotel.
